Through the Years

Hunter was born on July 31, 2006. He was 5 lbs 12 oz and 19 inches long. His originally due date was July 29th but he wasn't ready to come into the world yet. So I went in on Monday the 31st for a regular check up to see if I was dialated yet and to check my fluids. Upon checking my fluids the nurse immediatly called my doctor and said I was very low on my fluid and would need to get my labor started. I was sent over to labor and delivery @ 1:00 pm in the afternoon and they got me all hooked up and the labor started. After getting me all hooked up my husband asked if it would be a little bit before I delivered so he could go home and get the bag and my mom's comfort blanket that was given to me that I still to this day take every where I go. The nurse said yeah it will be a little while before she delivers. So he left, I was doing really good with all the contractions up until about 5 pm when they started to get really bad so I then asked for my epidural. It took from 1 pm when they started me until 4 pm to just dialate to a one, then from 4 to about 7 I went up to a three. My in laws came around 8 pm to check on me and the doctor told them it would be well into the middle of the night before I would start to push so they left around 8:45 and told Bodie to call when I was ready to push and they would come back. After they left I got a real hard and long contraction that the doctor came in immediatly and said Hunter's heart rate dropped tremendously and he wasn't going to chance it any longer and I would have to go in for an emergency C- section. So not even 15 minutes after my in laws left Bodie called them and they were just getting to our house to get our dog Sissy for the night. So they said they would drop off Sissy and pick up grandma and be back. I went in @ 9:30 for the C- Section and Hunter was born @ 9:39 pm. I couldn't believe that I could love someone so much until I saw our little miracle. I was wheeled back into the labor and delivery room right as my inlaws came back. Bodie then came in with our precious little boy after going with the nurse to give him his first bath. Because of all the drugs I was on I was shaking so bad that I couldn't even hold Hunter until an hour after he was born, but once he was in my arms I didn't want to let go.

At about 9 months old he started to crawl and by 15 months he was walking. He is now three years old and so smart. He knows his colors, shapes, animals and the sounds they make, he also knows how to count to 20 all by himself and can say the alphabet really well. I can't believe how fast time goes until its gone. Here are pictures of him growin up. Enjoy
